Your recordings stay on your device. Noise Log stores recordings, measurements and generated reports locally. It does not upload your recordings to a company recording server. Purchases, optional address lookup, files you choose to share, device backups and visits to this website involve separate processing described below.

1. Who operates Noise Log

Noise Log is operated by GBAPPS LLC, the company responsible for the processing described here. The app’s iOS bundle ID and Android package ID are com.gbapps.noiselog.

For privacy questions or requests, email mail@gbapps.company.

2. Information stored on your device

The app saves audio recordings as local files and keeps measurements and incident details in a local database. These records may include sound levels, timestamps, notes, report titles, optional coordinates and addresses, and settings such as calibration and recording thresholds. Generated PDF and CSV files may include these details and any names, contact information or other text you choose to enter.

No Noise Log account is required. Audio recordings, measurement logs and complaint/report contents are not sent to RevenueCat by the app. The local recording feature does not upload recordings to a server operated by GBAPPS LLC.

3. Purchases and RevenueCat

The app uses the relevant app store and RevenueCat to retrieve offers, verify and restore purchases, determine Pro access, help prevent purchase fraud and provide purchase analytics. The purchase SDK is initialized independently of whether you complete a purchase.

RevenueCat uses a generated anonymous app user identifier and processes purchase history, entitlement state and store transaction information, such as Apple receipt information or Google purchase tokens where applicable. Technical context can include device and operating-system information, locale/currency and the last connection time. The integration does not provide your name, email address or a custom account identifier to RevenueCat and disables automatic attribution-device-identifier collection. This does not disable purchase-data processing.

Apple or Google handles store checkout, payment details and store-account records under its own policies. RevenueCat processes purchase-service data separately from your local audio and reports. See RevenueCat privacy information, Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. Microphone and recording behavior

Microphone permission allows active sound measurement and audio saving. During a measurement, the microphone is read continuously. Manual recording or the automatic-saving setting determines when audio is written to a file.

iOS: Capture stops when the app moves to the background or the screen locks. Saving finishes where possible. Returning does not restart the microphone; press Start again. Automatic audio saving is off by default and requires a separate confirmation when enabled.

Android: Supported versions use a microphone foreground service and an ongoing notification for an explicitly started session. The notification provides a Stop action. Notification permission is requested on Android 13+. The service does not start at boot or restart automatically after a process kill. System interruptions can stop capture. Automatic-saving defaults can differ from iOS or retain an earlier Android setting.

5. Optional location and address lookup

If you allow location, the app can obtain coordinates for a recording and ask the platform geocoder for an address. Address lookup can send those coordinates to the platform’s network service. iOS uses Apple’s geocoding service; Android uses the available platform service, commonly Google-backed. A successful lookup is not guaranteed.

On iOS, the separate location setting is off by default and uses When In Use permission. Android requests location when obtaining it for a recording. The app’s configuration does not use a background-location service. Denying location does not block recording, and you can enter an address yourself.

6. Sharing, exports, backups and support

When you choose a share or export destination, that app or provider receives the files or text you select. These can include audio, locations, names and incident details. Review them before sharing. Recipients and their services handle their copies under their own policies.

Device backup, device transfer and cloud-sync settings can create copies outside the app’s local storage. Local storage does not mean that these independent copies can never leave your device. Store reviews and external links also involve their respective providers.

If you email us, we and the email services involved in delivery receive your message, email address and any attachments you send. We use your message to address the request you make. Avoid sending unnecessary recordings, payment-card information or other people’s personal information.

7. Storage, retention and deletion

You can delete saved items in the app. Android’s app-data clearing option and iOS’s Delete App option can remove the local app container. iOS Offload App keeps documents and data. Exported files, recipient copies, backups and transferred copies must be managed separately at their destinations.

Deleting a recording, clearing app data or uninstalling does not automatically delete store transaction records or RevenueCat records, cancel a legacy subscription, issue a refund or retract shared files. The mobile app does not set a universal retention period for records maintained by those services. Their processing and any applicable record-keeping requirements are separate from local recording storage.

To ask about retention or request access, correction or deletion in connection with Noise Log, contact mail@gbapps.company. Describe the request and relevant platform; further information may be needed to locate the correct purchase or support record. Do not send payment-card details or unnecessary audio. Store-account and recipient-copy requests may also need to be directed to the relevant provider. Deletion is subject to applicable requirements and does not itself reverse a store transaction.

8. Visits to this website

This website serves its pages and fonts from the Noise Log host. It has no analytics script, advertising pixel, sign-up form or website cookie-setting feature. Clicking a store, provider or email link opens that external destination.

The web server processes connection and request information to deliver pages, diagnose problems and operate the site. Access logs can include the IP address, timestamp, requested URL, response status, referrer and browser/user-agent information supplied with a request. Error logs can include related request or connection details. This site uses separate nginx logs under the server’s existing daily rotation configuration, which keeps up to 14 rotated archives; this is an archive limit, not a guarantee of an identical number of days for every log entry.

9. International processing and security

Purchase, location, email, sharing and backup providers may process information in countries other than yours. RevenueCat states that customer data is sent to its US AWS infrastructure. Locally storing recordings does not mean that all other processing occurs in your country.

The app uses local storage and the device’s access controls; it is not a separate encrypted vault. Device locks, backup choices and share destinations affect protection. This website uses HTTPS, and RevenueCat documents encryption in transit. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

10. Your choices and requests

You can manage microphone and location permissions in system settings, turn off optional location and audio-saving features, delete local items and choose whether to export or share. Disabling a permission does not erase earlier exports, backups or third-party records.

Privacy rights depend on the law that applies and may include access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent where relevant, and contacting a competent supervisory authority. Send questions or requests to mail@gbapps.company.

Recording can capture other people’s information. Use the app lawfully and respect their privacy. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a child’s information in connection with Noise Log, contact us at the same address; do not send unnecessary personal details or recordings.

11. Policy updates and contact

Updates are published on this page with a revised date. Questions about Noise Log or this policy can be sent to mail@gbapps.company.
